Craig Corona: Music

Seasons Pass

(Craig Corona)
The wind comes along to blow away what once was my spring
and golden swirls dance to the song that this old roof must sing
and the shutters they clap at the sight this all makes to see

The rain softly tapping slowly quiets as the first snows come
cover this scene like a blanket for the yellow paint of sun
and this glass holds my breath as if to catch something lost from me

It's hard to turn away and say good bye when you know it's gone
These seasons come around and you'll be warm before too long
So just hold on...

The clouds hold these mountains in a grip so tight they cannot break the grasp
and the one who holds the brush hides away behind the greys but it won't last
but should it take a peek, a ray or so, the show below, for me

It's hard to turn away and say good bye when you know it's gone
These seasons come around and you'll be warm before too long
So just hold on...

I just hold on
